Spring across the State of Alaska means everything from 50 degrees to 60+ degrees Fahrenheit. Above average temperatures or snow in the first week of May. In Fairbanks, spring attire is very different than Ketchikan's, and there's no way you could dress the same in Nome as you could in Sitka. Even though Alaska is incredibly vast, one thing remains the same. Layers!
Jeans and a cute top go a long way in Alaska, pair it with wrap style cardigan, a fun shoe, or your Xtratufs if you're doing practical things! A beanie is always a great accessory if you aren't stacking on the jewelry, and a light jacket to brave the winds.
Here are three basic Spring style tips to help get your inspired and excited for your looks!
1. Great fitting jeans - those who know premium denim never go back! Well fitted and durable jeans are a woman's best friend and DL1961 knows what's up! I prefer jeans that fit throughout the hip and butt, so I can move and be active without feeling constricted or letting my plumber's crack peep out haha.
2. Luxe tops - Alaska is pretty casual when it comes to style, so dressing luxe tops down with jeans is a great way to still have style, without looking like a tuxedo in a room of polo shirts (although on occasion that is the goal...). Tops that flatter, are made with beautiful fabrics that feel great are a fun way to dress up your style.
3. Accessories - Do it with you hair, spring flowers, a beanie, statement jewelry, or a great shoe. Whatever you're in the mood for, try and go for 2-3 accessories. For example, style your hair, add a statement ring, and a great shoe. Wear a beanie, a fantastic belt, and standout boot or shoe. Finding a good balance with your accessories defiantly helps up your style game, without looking like you tried ;)
Cheers to a stylish Spring!
