The whiskey world is an old and true realm that pulls on ancestral practices and can be defined geographically as well. And since Fashion Week is focused on what makes current fashion based on sharing Alaska's stories and style, it was fitting to tie in a tasting that explored whiskey's from around the world, some being relatively new, and others more traditional.
Jared Cure, owner of the Narrow's Bar, created a sampling of five whiskey's. Explaining their origin, flavor and fragrance, age, and even information down to the casks used. I learned that different countries have different criteria for what makes a whiskey. Some char their barrel, while others only use a barrel once! Whiskey is a wonderful world and we loved exploring it!
